Aug 15, 2022

Selected to participate in competitive program for transportation infrastructure startups

Allium Engineering has announced today it was selected to participate in The Heritage Group (“THG”) Accelerator, a hard tech accelerator program at THG’s innovation hub in Indianapolis focused on building a sustainable future through innovation in specialty chemicals, advanced materials, infrastructure and construction, environmental solutions, and industrial systems. The company was selected after a rigorous application and review process.

Throughout the program, Allium will receive mentorship from executives, scientists, industry professionals, and successful entrepreneurs, and will be able to access THG’s 30+ operating companies to gain critical industry insights and opportunities to pilot its technology. The program will conclude on November 15 with a public event in which Allium will demonstrate its technology and pitch its businesses to a global audience of leading investors.

“The need for innovators interested in a greener future has never been more clear. At The Heritage Group Accelerator, we pair innovators with hand-selected resources and expertise to scale their transformative technologies and write the next chapter in sustainable manufacturing, materials, infrastructure, waste and water treatment, and other hard tech verticals,” said Nida Ansari, Managing Director of the THG Accelerator. “We are thrilled to welcome Allium to Indianapolis for our program.”

“We are beyond excited to be joining the Heritage Group, their member companies, and a number of other incredible hardtech startups for this accelerator program. The Heritage Group’s commitment to sustainability through innovation is truly commendable, and we see tremendous opportunities for us to grow over the next 13 weeks with them,” says founder/CEO of Allium, Steven Jepeal. “The world’s biggest problems need new materials and manufacturing technologies, and partnerships like this are a critical part of the solution.”

Allium will be greeted today by more than 150 industry, technical, and business professionals during a Welcome to Our Ecosystem event at THG’s innovation hub, The Center. Following that event, Allium’s founders will continue building relationships with Indiana’s startup professionals while packing meals for food-insecure Hoosiers during an interactive networking event in cooperation with Pack Away Hunger.
